Monday: The Jamie Weinstein Show / Mark Cuban Interview (11/16/17)
Will Cuban run in 2020? Is he actually working with Steve Bannon behind the scenes? Will listen here to find out from Cuban himself.
I’ve never listened to this podcast before but it has solid reviews. The title of this episode is what drew me in. With Amazon Self-Publishing, it’s never been easier to publish a book. Although it’s as hard as ever to write one. Could books be the new business cards?
Wednesday: Waking Up with Sam Harris – #104 The Lessons of Death
This week’s creative listen is the Sam Harris podcast. Harris is a neuroscientist, philosopher, and author. This episode is a conversation “about death and dying and about how the awareness of death can improve our lives in each moment.” Usually we all try to avoid thinking of death as much as possible. Wondering if this episode can help with some new ways of looking at things.
Turkey Day: YCombinator / #47 – Baidu’s COO, Qi Lu Discusses AI with Daniel Gross
Baidu is known as the “Google of China.” Since AI is the technology of the near-future, it’s a must to learn more about. Continuing my learning with this episode.
Friday: Planet Money / Episode 650: The Scariest Thing in Hollywood
NPR never fails to produce entertaining and informative content. The Planet Money podcast is one of the best. In this episode, they explore the Venture Capitalist of the film industry. Instead of putting a ton of money into one Fast and the Furious like production, this producer spreads limited capital into many different films hoping one will be a home run. Interesting model applied to the film industry. Constraints lead to creativity.
Happy Thanksgiving and happy listening…
